Parents "level up" as they read about researched practices and suggested interactive strategies.
Dr. William C. Greene, Jr. was born and raised in Queens, NY, and is a proud product of the New York City public school system. With over 33 years of experience in education, his career encompasses roles as a teacher, department chair, assistant principal, and principal. Dr. Greene has served as an administrator at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, and he has also served as an adjunct professor. At the district level, he ascended to positions such as Curriculum Coordinator, Director of Professional Learning, and Executive Director for Teaching and Learning.
His passion for working with children and families is unwavering. In 2012, Dr. Greene presented at the Georgia Statewide Conference, addressing Family Engagement - Building Connections with his talk on "The Creation of a True Village.”
Dr. Greene's expertise has been recognized at the national level. In 2014, he was invited to participate as a panelist at The White House Initiative for Educational Excellence for African Americans. This summit, initiated by President Barack Obama, aimed to accelerate efforts to support African American students and improve opportunities for all students, with goals to increase college completion and employment rates, thereby strengthening the nation's economy.
In 2015, he presented at the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals on "Knowing Students By Name and By Need," demonstrating his commitment to personalized education.
Beyond his roles in education and as an author, Dr. Greene is a seasoned presenter at local, state, and national conferences. He is also the co-founder and part-owner of 1st TIER Rewards, a school system solutions business that employs an innovative technology platform to enhance educator retention.
Dr. Greene earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Morehouse College, a master’s degree in the Teaching of Social Studies from Columbia University-Teachers College and both his specialist and doctoral degrees from Argosy University - Atlanta. William has one son, William III. His dedication and contributions to education continue to inspire and influence those around him.
Louis E. Lord Jr. is a husband, father, son, uncle, and community member. A native of Queens, New York, Louis witnessed firsthand the community's struggle in the 1990s. Determined to forge a different path, he attended Morehouse College, an experience that shaped his commitment to education and community service. Subsequently, Louis embarked on a pivotal journey working within the Atlanta Public Schools, where his passion for making a difference in the lives of young people flourished.
Despite transitioning to a career in corporate America, Louis remained steadfast in his dedication to community involvement. He recognized the transformative power of education and the critical role parents play in the academic success of their children. With this vision, he joined the P.E.C.A.N Network, an organization dedicated to fostering parent engagement in education. Through his work, Louis Lord has become an advocate for parental involvement, firmly believing in its potential to enhance student achievement. He currently sits on the Michaels-Dickson Scholars Program Advisory Group. Louis works to add consistent value in corporate and community spheres and hopes his efforts showcase his unwavering commitment to uplift and empower our communities.
